Answer: In symmetrical cell division, the cytoplasm of the parent cell is distributed equally between the two daughter cells, resulting in daughter cells of equal size. In asymmetrical cell division, the cytoplasm of the parent cell is distributed unequally between the two daughter cells, resulting in daughter cells of different sizes.
