PLZ HELP 30 POINTS

The Apology or Apologia is also known as Socrates, Condemned to Death, Addresses His Judges. These first titles could lead to some confusion about the nature of the work. In at least 100 words, explain why this confusion might occur and describe the aspects of the text that make its true nature clear.

(IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE 100 WORDS I JUST NEED AN EXPLANATION)

There is a ton of information about it on cliffnotes and sparknotes but here is a little information I can give you

The title may lead to confusion because The Apology talks about a guy defending himself and refusing to apologize for his actions. The text says “you are a liar, Meletus, not believed even by yourself”. Rather than apologizing, he defends himself by trying to justify what he has done.

I hope this helped.

The Apology is a text by Plato in which he tells us how Socrates defended himself against those who accused him of corrupting the youth and not recognizing the gods of the state. Because of these charges, Socrates was put on trial.

The confusion about the nature of the work comes from its title. The work is called The Apology. However, Socrates is not apologizing, in the way we understand this in modern times. Apologia translates to something like "defense," and this is what Socrates does. In this work, he defends himself against his accusers.
