Solve the problem by entering and solving the equation.

Four less than the quotient of a number and 4 is 18. What is the number? Let n be the unknown number.

The equation is:
n ÷ 4 - 4 = 18
add 4 to both sides so you have n ÷ 4 = 22
Then divide both sides by 4 and get n = 5.5
