The slope of the line passes through the points (3,-6) and (7,y) is -2/3. Find y.

-6-y / 3-7 = -2/3

-6-y / -4 = -2/3

Multiply through by -12:-
3(-6-y) = 8

-18 - 3y = 8
3y = - 26

y = -8 2/3
