The longer and slimmer an animals legs are such as a horse, have larger amounts of muscle mass in their upper portion of leg such as the thigh and glute muscles. The glute being larger and the thigh gives the muscles more power distributed to the lower legs to propel large amounts energy to the limbs creating fast motion.
