Digital thermometers are medical tool to measure body temperature where it uses electronic heat sensors and record the result. These thermometers can be used in the armpit, mouth or rectum. Armpit thermometer are usually least accurate compared to mouth and rectal thermometers. Rectal temperature provide best reading for infants especially those newborns and children up to 3 years old while mouth thermometer gives accurate reading for older children and adults.
