Explanation:

2 + 6(x- 4) = 3x - 18 + 3x

open the bracket on the left handside by multiplying 6 by the numbers ins the bracket

2 + 6x - 24 = 3x - 18 + 3x

6x - 22 = 6x - 18

collect the like term

6x - 6x = -18 + 22

Therefore there is no solution to this equation.
