There are many examples illustrating the different ways that animals sense their environment. Cats, for example, see much better in low light than humans, due to their different eye physiology. They also hear better, due to their ability to rotate their ears in different directions. Bats and dolphins use echolocation (a type of biological sonar) to navigate through space and locate objects or food. Bees can see UV light, a wavelength that human eyes can not detect.
