A ball is dropped from 256 feet above the ground. It bounces 1/4 as high as it fell.This is true for each successive bounce. What height will the ball reach on the third bounce?

With the work shown before this (my) comment is how you work it out and I can confirm that 4 feet is the correct answer

On the first bounce, it will reach 1/4 x 256 height.

1/4 x 256 = 64

On the second bounce it will reach 64 x 1/4 height.

64 x 1/4 = 16

On the third bounce it will reach 16 x 1/4 height.

16 x 1/4 = 4.

You're final answer should be 4 feet. Hope this helps!
