You can set it up as a proportion.
3/4 is to 1/2 as X is to 2.
So you have 3/4÷1/2 = x/2
3/4÷1/2 is equal to 3/2.
You're left with 3/2 = x/2.
After cross multiplying. You get 2x=6.
Divide both sides by two and x =3. She will have picked 3 gallons.
