You have a case of watermelons. Each watermelon weighs 2.5 pounds. The watermelons have a combined weight of 25 pounds. How many watermelons do you​ have?

To figure out how many watermelons you have, just divide the total weight (25 pounds) by the weight of EACH WATERMELON (2.5 pounds).

25 / 2.5 = 10

When you divide them, the result is 10. So you must have 10 WATERMELONS.
