Hello!
9 gallons for every 1 gallon of color in ration is:
9:1
9 + 1 = 10
9 ÷ 10(230)
2,070 ÷ 10
207 gallons of base
1 ÷ 10(230)
230
÷ 10
23 gallons of color
So there are 23 gallons of color in 230 gallons of paint.

base : color.....9:1...added = 10
9/10(230) = 2070/10 = 207 gallons of base
1/10(230) = 230/10 = 23 gallons of color <==
