HELP!!

Define a variable, write an equation and solve your equation to find the answer to the following question.

Danielle rented a bike from Daniel's Bikes. It cost $15 plus $4 per hour. If Danielle paid $31, then she rented the bike for how many hours?

Equation: 4x+15=31
I have included a picture of my work since explaining might be difficult but the way I solved this if the beginning of algebra and I hope it makes sense.
