To solve for this, use your order of operations:
Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction

Because you have an unknown value of w, and you have the two division operations 8/w and 3/w, you can leave the two terms as is. Then, because the terms can be represented as the fractions 8/w and 3/w, and they both have the same denominator of w, you can simplify this operation by adding together the two operations to get that your answer is 11/w.
:) Hope this helps!

This is actually quite simple. It's simply :
(8)/(w) +
(3)/(w). And since you don't know the value of w, all you would have to do to simplify the equation is add 8 and 3, and if you did that, you would get 11. That would make it :
(11)/(w).

But if you did know the value of w, you would have to use PEMDAS. (Punctuation, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction.) So you would have to divide the respective numbers by their w-values, before adding them together.

Whatever the case, that expression simplified is
(11)/(w).
