Three times the sum of a number and four is equal to five times the number decreased by two. If x represents the number which equation is a correct translation the statement???

A: 3(x+4)=5x-2
B: 3(x+4)=5(x-2)

The equation would be 3(x+4)=5x-2
so if we solve we get3x+12=5x-212=2x-210=2x5=x

I think the answer is A because you have to multiply the number 5 times and take off 2 at the end of the equation... so yeah i think A
