8^2 = 64 since 8*8 = 64
Squaring a number is the same as multiplying it by itself.
Since 8^2 = 64, this means
1/64 = 1/(8^2) =
8^(-2)
So,
1/64 = 8^(-2)
where the exponent is negative 2
