The term vertebrate defines all of the familiar large animals and some rare and unusual ones as well.
There are 7 vertebrate classes:
1.Agnatha-j
awless fish that do not have scales.
2. Chondrichthyes-
Fish that have skeletons
3. Osteichthyes-
bony fish
4. Amphibia-
Frogs, toads, and salamanders
5. Reptilia-
turtles, snakes, lizards, alligators, and other large reptiles
6.Aves - all birds
7. Mammalia -
Dogs, cats, bears, humans and most other large animals
