Solve Absolute value
4x + 12 = 16 or 4x + 12 = -16
===============================================
1.) 4x+12=16
Subtract 12 from both sides
4x+12-12=16-12
4x = 4
Divide by 4
4x ÷ 4 = 4 ÷ 4
x = 1
=================================================================
2.) 4x+12=-16
Subtract 12 from both sides
4x+12-12=-16-12
4x=-28
Divide each side by 4
4x ÷ 4 = -28 ÷ 4
x = -7
================================================================
X = 1 and x = -7 is your answer
