Hello,

slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

Use the slope formula and the slope-intercept form to find the slope for m and the y-intercept b:

m= - 2
b=5

Thus,

y=-2x+5

slope = (3-1)/(1-2) = -2
b = y - mx
b = 3 - (-2)(1)
b = 3 + 2
b = 5

equation in slope intercept form
y = -2x + 5
