*Please help* (20 POINTS) Hint: Both of the slopes are 2/3

To see if the slopes are the same, write an equation setting the two fractions equal to each other. Is this equation true? Why or why not? What does that mean about the slope between points E and A and the slope between the points A and C?

So, on tests they try to trick you saying the slope between two points on a line is different but it is the same where ever you go on the line. They're similar triangles, not different triangles.

(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
(0,0) A
(-6,-4) E
(3,2) C

ac = (2 - 0)/(3 - 0) = (2)/(3)

ea ( - 4 - 0)/( - 6 - 0) = ( - 4)/( - 6) = (4)/(6) = (2)/(3)

ac = ea

(2)/(3) = (2)/(3)
Equation,

y = (2)/(3) x
Of course it's true. You rise or drop 2 and run over to the right.
It means they're true since anywhere you go on the line your slope is the same.

slope of blue using their 2 points is 4/6 or 2/3

slope of green using their points is 2/3 which is the same as the other triangle.

4/6 = 2/3. and this is true, the slopes are equal
