As "
that the difference between the number of dots showing on the two dice is 2" we have (1;3), (3;1), (2;4), (4;2), (3;5), (5;3), (4;6), (6;4). That is 8 ways.
And we have 36 possibilities in all, the probability is 8/36= 2/9
