The direction on a sewing pattern say cut an extra 15% of fabric to account for error. Chloe needs 0.75 yards of fabric to make a skirt, and she cuts 1125 yard. Did Chloe cut the correct amount of fabric? Why or Why not

0.75 * 15% = 0.1125
0.75 + 0.1125 = 0.8625 yards

Not sure if your 1125 yards in the question was correct, but she needed to cut 0.8625 yards to have 15% over the 0.75 she needs.
