(a)

As an object is thrown upwards at a very high speed, then the free body diagram for the object is given as

(b)

While going up, the drag will be acting downwards and it slows down the object. When it is coming downwards, the drag will be acting upwards.

(c)

The speed of the object will remain the same as when the object is back at its starting point compared to its speed when it is thrown. This is because both the ball attains the same speed when it is at its starting position.
