Explain what it means to "cover the brake" and give an example of the situation in which you would take this action.

Cover the brake:

In driving four wheelers, we know we have tools as ABC i.e. accelerator Brake and clutch from right to left in the order.

Whenever there is heavy traffic or there may be a necessity to apply sudden brake and stop the vehicle, this cover the brake is done.

This is the action where our right leg is taken off from the accelerator and just kept on the brake without pressing it actually but ready to press it at any moment as and when necessary.

Covering the brake is the action when yourself your right foot off the accelerator and holding it over the brake pedal. It's where your foot hovers over the brake but does not actually apply pressure. An example of using this technique would be when your moving from accelerating to braking it slows the stopping distance.
