B. Packages and redistributes proteins.
The Golgi apparatus is the distribution and shipping department for the cell's chemical products. It is a special organelle found in the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cell, it functions in the modification of proteins after they are synthesized. It modifies proteins and fats built by rectums on the endoplasmic reticulum and prepares them for export as outside of the cell. Modification and secretion are major functions of Golgi.
