To find the area of the shaded part of this parallelogram, use the formula:

A= bh

Your base is 28m and your height is 21m, and all you need to do is multiply.

21 × 28 = 588

A = bh
A = 21 x 28 = 588 m^2

Area of square
A = a^2 = 14^2 = 196
