previous term on number line.

b). if next term is negative then move in left hand direction of

previous term on number line .

Step 3: Follow step 2 till last term.

-8 - 3= -11 [ If we add two negative integers , we just have to add them using simple law of addition and apply the negative sign before it.]

If you are adding [-8-3=-11] on the number line mark -8 on the number line and the next number have negative sign before it , so we should move 3 units to left on the number line which gives the result -11.
