>35% is the same thing as greater than 35%. That's the purplish option on your map's key. The only 3 states with this classification are Arkansas, Mississippi and West Virginia.

Looking at the map, we can state that Arkansas, Mississippi and West Virginia are states in which 35% of their population is obese.

Obesity in the United States reached a new record and already affects 39.8% of the adult population, according to a government report published in 2017. That is, almost 4 out of 10 adults are obese.

The report shows that the prevalence of obesity among adults is, on average, 39.8%. In general, it is higher among people aged 40 to 59 (42.8%) than in those aged 20 to 39 (35.7%). It is also higher among women (41.5% on average) than among men (38% on average), although in the results of the study they claim that "there is no significant difference" between both sexes.

The adult obesity rate in the United States has increased steadily since 1999, when it was 30.5%.
