Plx help !!

What role, if any, should the government have regarding people’s genetic codes? Should the government have access to that? Should private companies share this information with each other?

The government should have a limited access to these.
It is essential for the government to have some access although not all access as crimes can be proved using these where there are no other options.

However private companies have no use of these codes other than make profit.And it is illegal to make profit out of people’s private information.
Hope this helps :) So evidence right? For example cases like the Richard Buckland case where he killed 2 young women and everything led to him but they couldn’t arrest him because there was no proof. Untill they tested the semen sample in the girls and it got matched with Buckland. In instances like these government access to genetics information is necccery. But when private limited companies or any private organisations for that matter use these codes it is only for their benefit and not the general public.For example the company 23andme used DNA testing to sell people what type of ads they prefer and target them specifically.This is unfair to people.
