Express in terms of sine and cosines.


\cos x\cdot\csc x=\cos x\cdot(1)/(\sin x)

We know that


\text{A quotient identity }\cot x=(\cos x)/(\sin x)\text{.}

Apply a quotient identity.


\cos x\cdot\csc x=\cot x

Hence proved


\cos x\cdot\csc x=\cot x
