Since the perimeters are equal then:
(3x + 3) * 4 = (x + 8) * 5
12x + 12 = 5x + 40
7x = 28
x =4
Perimeter of square = (3*4 + 3) * 4 =
(12 + 3) * 4 = 60
Perimeter of pentagon = (4 + 8) * 5 =
(12) * 5 = 60
The answer is 60
