Carpetbaggers. These were people who traveled South to make a good profit off of the southern businesses after the Civil War.

A) Carpetbaggers is the answer.Northerners who came South after the Civil War were called Carpetbaggers. Scalawags were southerners who aided the Carpetbaggers.
