If each fish has its own tank, then that means that there are 5 fish tanks, so the amount of water for five tanks is 5 x 50 or 250 gallons of water in the exhibit.

It the fish share a single tank, then there are only 50 gallons of water in the exhibit.

So each of the tanks hold 50 gallons right?
And there are 5 tanks.
So 50 multiples by 5 is 250 gallons
