(-2,3) and (2,6)
slope = (6 - 3)/(2+2) = 3/4

answer
slope = 3/4

ANSWER

The slope of the line that has been graphed in the coordinate plane above is

(3)/(4) .

EXPLANATION

We can read from the graph that, the straight line passes through the points

(2,6) \: and \: (-2,3).

We can determine the slope of the given line using the formula

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)
We can choose the points in any order.

We can choose
(x_1,y_1) = (2,6) and

(x_2,y_2) = (-2,3)

or

(x_1,y_1) = (-2,3) and

(x_2,y_2) = (2,6)

We substitute the above points in to the formula to obtain,

m = (3 - 6)/( - 2 - 2) = ( - 3)/( - 4) = (3)/(4)

The slope of the line is therefore,

(3)/(4)
