A ball is thrown from an initial height of 2 feet with an initial upward velocity of 18/fts . The ball's height h (in feet) after t seconds is given by the following. =h+2−18t16t^2 Find all values of t for which the ball's height is 6 feet. Round your answer(s) to the nearest hundredth.

Hello! First insert 6 where the h is located. So we have an equation that looks like the following.
6 = 2 - 18t + 16t^2

Although you could leave the equation in its original form, I am going to switch it around.

6 = 2 - 18t + 16t^2

16t^2 - 18t + 2 = 6
Move the 6 to the other side and do the math

16t^2 - 18t + 2 - 6 = 6 - 6

16t^2 - 18t -4 = 0
Factor and after factoring your T will be as follows
t =
(9)/(16) - (√(145))/(16) = -0.1900
t =
(9)/(16) + (√(145))/(16) = 1.315
