To add 20% of any number, you must first convert the 20% into a 0.2. Then you multiply 0.2 by 38.24, which turns out to be 7.648. 7.648 is 20% of 38.24, so you have to add 7.648 to 38.24, which is 45.888. Then you simplify it to money form, so take out the last eight and you get 45.88. You're answer should be $45.88.
