(5y)/(6) + (5)/(6) = (1)/(6)
Multiply each term by the LCD 6:
5y + 5 = 1
Subtract 5 from both sides of the equation:
5y + 5 - 5 = 1 - 5
5y = -4
Divide both sides of the equation by 5:

(5y)/(5) = (-4)/(5)
Answer:
y= (-4)/(5)
