Given:

6x-y=7

Find-: X-intercept and Y-intercept of the equation.

Sol:

For X-intercept value of "y" is zero.

\begin{gathered} 6x-y=7 \\ \\ y=0 \end{gathered}

So, the x-intercept is:

\begin{gathered} 6x-y=7 \\ \\ y=0 \\ \\ 6x-0=7 \\ \\ 6x=7 \\ \\ x=(7)/(6) \end{gathered}

The x-intercept is 7/6.

The Y-intercept of the equation then the value of "x" is zero.

\begin{gathered} 6x-y=7 \\ \\ x=0 \end{gathered}

So, the y-intercept is:

\begin{gathered} 6x-y=7 \\ \\ x=0 \\ \\ 6(0)-y=7 \\ \\ 0-y=7 \\ \\ y=-7 \end{gathered}

So, the y-intercept is -7.

(x-\text{ intercept, }y-\text{ intercept\rparen = \lparen}(7)/(6),-7)
