12.79 + .64 = 13.43
20 - 13.43 = $6.57

Cost of Dog Food= $ 12.79

Sales Tax = $ 0.64

Sales tax is amount charged from the Individual as a tax on the thing you are buying.

Total Amount Paid =$ 20

Amount Received as Change from the customer

=Total Amount Paid - [Cost of Dog Food +Sales Tax]

=20 - [12.79+0.64]

=20.00 - 13.43

=$ 6.57
