As we know the formula for table salt is NaCl, Na-Sodium nad Cl-Chlorine. Both of these elements are on opposite sides of the periodic table. Sodium is a metal while Chlorine is a nonmetal. Ionic bonds are made of a metal and nonmetal, covalent bonds between nonmetal and nonmetal. So, therefore, Table Salt is an Ionic Bond and the bond name is Sodium Chloride.

It would be an ionic bond because it includes the ionic compound sodium chloride NaCl. I hope this helps!
