In the year 1803, scientist and English teacher, John Dalton published the first list of elements when he printed his atomic theory. Dalton's original list have only five elements: oxygen, hydrogen,azote (nitrogen), sulfur and carbon. These five elements were listed stating their atomic weights. Dalton created a system to symbolize the elements but was later replaced by a system of only letters proposed by Jöns Berzelius. John Dalton’s 2nd volume not came out at 1827 and it contained more number of elements.
