1. 5y + 2y + 6x + 2y - x

= 9y + 5x

7 decrease by 3 times a number n = 3n - 7

twice the difference between p and 10 = 2(p - 10)

4 times sum of 3 and x = 4(3 + x)

10 less than twice a number w = 2w - 10
