The answer is a 12-pound bag that cost $4.45 because you divide 4.45 by 12 to find out how many it cost per pound to get $0.37083. While the 5-pound bag cost $0.372 per pound which is more.

12 / 5 = 2.4
so

1.86 * 2.4 = 4.46
so at the same weight, the 5 pounder costs 1 cent more
