HCG. High. HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is also called "the hormone of pregnancy". In first day when menstruation is absent, which is on average 12-14en days after ovulation, the level of HCG in blood is about 100 IU/L. The level of HCG is doubled every two days in properly developed pregnancy.
