The crucible relevant to today's world from showing how people can impact the society, how one lie can ruin someone's reputation also how adultery affects many couples.

It shows how a society can be impacted simply by a common belief that can be false and that can be degrading a person's reputation. It shows how influential one can be in undermining and destroying a person's reputation.
