2 over 5 would equal the right amount so that explains 8+ the letter and -16 if u add everything together all at once

ANSWER:

Explanation:

We have the following equation:

\begin{gathered} -8+x=4y-16 \\ \\ 4y=-8+16+x \\ \\ y=(x+8)/(4) \end{gathered}

we calculate the two points just like this:

\begin{gathered} y=(0+8)/(4)=(8)/(4)=2\rightarrow(0,2) \\ \\ y=(4+8)/(4)=(12)/(4)=3\rightarrow(4,3) \end{gathered}

Plot the points and then draw the line, like so:

Graph the line for -8 + x = 4y - 16 on the coordinate plane.-example-1
Graph the line for -8 + x = 4y - 16 on the coordinate plane.-example-2
