I am writing an argumentative essay on same sex marriage and im for it but idk how to make an outline on it because idk what to talk about!! i have 3 books on it but idk and it has to be 4 pages long!!!!/ help me please!!!/

I wrote an essay last year about same sex marriage and I got 95 for it so I can surely help you with that.

How do you make an outline?
Well you need to know what you will talk about. When we talked about same sex marriage, we are thinking about:
1) The struggle these people are facing
2) Since it is an argument essay, you need to tell if you agree or not same sex marriage should be legal. And you need to give examples to support your opinion.
3) Make sure you used outside sources to help you too and then do the APA format.
4) Since it is 4 pages long, make sure you have different ideas to discuss.
5) Don't forget you need Introduction, Development, Conclusion
a) Introduction should be at least 5 sentences. but remember you are doig 4 pages, so 7 sentences for the introduction should be okay.
b) I used to do 2 pages essays and I only needed 3 paragraphs for the development. But yours is 4 pages, so you need for then 3 paragraphs. Good luck! :) So 5 or 6 should be great.
c) Conclusion. It should be 7 sentences or more.

When you write an argumentative essay, the first thing you need to think about is what point of view you will defend. This will be your thesis, or the main idea of the essay. The rest of the essay will provide arguments that will try to persuade the audience of supporting your point of view.

An outline for this essay would look something like this:

1. Introduction

1.1 What is same sex marriage?

1.2 What is the current status of same sex marriage?

1.3 What is your point of view?

2. Body

2.1 Reasons why same sex marriage should be legal.

2.2 Possible counterarguments.

2.3 Responses to counterarguments.

3. Conclusion (Restate the thesis)
