The correct answer is the Palmer Raids
They were named after the
Attorney General
A. Mitchell Palmer who led a hunt on anarchists and leftists and arrested numerous people. This was mostly a part of the Red Scare which was a general anti-communist sentiment following World War 1 and the rise of the Soviet union.
