How to find the vertex of a quadratic function?

Answer:Parabolas always have a lowest point. This point, where the parabola changes direction, is called the "vertex". If the quadratic is written in the form y = a(x – h)2 + k, then the vertex is the point (h, k).

The formula for a quadratic function is y=ax^2+bx+c.
The vertex is h, k. This can be found by evaluating y to get k, and dividung -b by a in order to get h.

Hope this helps!
