Disaccharides are formed when two monosaccharides join together by the dehydration synthesis reaction resulting in a glycosidic bond between the two monosaccharide molecules.

Disaccharides
are made when two monosaccharides join
together by the dehydration synthesis reaction making glycosidic bond between the
two monosaccharide
molecules. The reaction creates water as a side product.
